I am still very proud of this painting “tash” that I made in 2022. In the painting my daughter Natasha is standing in front of a fictitious brick wall that she created together. One whole puzzle to put everything on it faithfully. Also required a lot of long-term research about graffiti art. Everywhere I saw it I had to look or take a photo. Light glare, shadows, relief, everything has to be right to get a realistic image.

I got the idea of ​​such a 'trompe l'oeil' in a gallery in San Francisco with work by Douglas Hofmann, who made truly brilliant paintings.

I found the reaction of the administrator of a Facebook group very funny. I had submitted the photo to an art group, but it was rejected. “This group is not about graffiti but about realistic art.” The manager did not notice that it was not a photo but an oil painting
