Gert Wentzel Nunspeet
I am Gert Wentzel (Nunspeet, 1964) and I started painting relatively late by taking painting lessons with the Nunspeet painter Koos Baas in 2012. My great inspiration is my wife's grandfather, Marinus Heijnes, a forgotten impressionist painter. He ensures that the bar is set high. I paint subjects that are close to my heart, often places that I have visited myself. Another popular subject is decayed cars or historic car races. Usually with oil paint. Always with a cheerful color scheme and a slightly impressionistic touch. Here I am in December 2023 next to my work "Tash", which was on display at my exhibition in the village hall of Vierhouten. I mainly paint because I enjoy it, not primarily to sell. But it's nice when people appreciate my art. To save space in the attic, a lot of my work is for sale. If you are interested in purchasing one of my works, or if you have a nice suggestion or request, please feel free to contact me.
